What’s your greatest strength?
Real Question - Do you really know yourself and do you know we are doing here?
Technique:
- Answer with the job description. Go easy on the adjective and go heavy on the examples.
Ex. Job description - being able to plan and execute a task on your own.
Your own strength that match with the description - Self-starter
Hard data - Plan and executed 20 projects in the course of 2 years that involve coordinating between 5 departments. Generate $1 million revenue for the company.
What’s your greatest weakness?
Real question: Are you going to give me a real answer?
Technique:
- Interviewers may know your weakness but want to hear your confirmation. Talk about the weakness apparent on the CV.
- Make it clear that your weakness don’t bother you that much and it isn’t a deal breaker
- Evidence that you are working on correcting your weakness
- Answer the question as if you are helping the employer, not just about yourself
